目前一般采用的电刀频率约为300-750KHz，频率太高易引起寄生电容的静电感应，并使电流流至开刀以外的可能性增大；而频率太低(如≤300KHz)，会产生危险的法拉第效应即对生物的刺激兴奋作用会增强，产生肌肉痉挛、疼痛，严重时会引起室颤。
